Mountain Valley Midwife/Sage Femme
This is a community-based practice offering complete care to pregnant women and their families in the Bow Valley, including Canmore, Banff and Lake Louise.
We are caring, supportive and non-intrusive guardians of birth. We believe that pregnancy and birth are inherently safe and normal functions of a woman's body.
What is midwifery care?
The practice of midwifery is based on the understanding that pregnancy, labour and birth are profound experiences which carry significant meaning for a woman, her family and her community.
It is a partnership based on mutual respect between a midwife and expectant mother and her family.
